City Form and Structure - Major Paths of Movements

There are five important thoroughfares serving the City of San Jose del Monte. Along these roads are scattered residential, commercial, light industrial and other land uses. The first is Quirino Highway, which runs from its southern to northern boundary and directly links the City to the neighbouring Norzagaray, Kalookan City and Quezon City. The second is the Sta. Maria-Tungkong Mangga Provincial Road (Bocaue Provincial Road) which runs from the Barangay Tungkong Mangga and San Manuel intersection and traverses through Barangays Graceville, Gaya-Gaya and Muzon. This road links the City to Sta. Maria, Bulacan and to the North Expressway. The third is the San Jose del Monte-Marilao Road which traverses the Poblacion, Poblacion I, Muzon, Dulong Bayan, Sapang Palay Proper, Fatima I to V and San Rafael (H) and II. It links the City to Marilao and Norzaragay, Bulacan. The fourth is Sapang Palay Road, which traverses through the New Town Site of the Puyat Property, intersects with Quirino Highway and links the city also to Sta. Maria, Bulacan. The fifth is the Igay Provincial Road which serves Barangays Kaybanban, San Roque, Paradise III and San Isidro and which will be eventually connected to Quirino Highway Extension via the Municipality of Montalban, Rizal.
