Development Needs

The following are the development needs of San Jose del Monte in Development Administration:

There is a need for a review of the current organisational set-up of the local governing body and the existing city government offices. It shall determine whether or not the set-up and the allocation of personnel are satisfactory for effective governance. To strengthen the system, the creation of additional offices and hiring of other staff may be required.

San Jose del Monte needs an efficient monitoring and an evaluation system that can effectively scrutinise whether the different plans and programmes of the city are being properly implemented. It should be able to periodically gauge whether these plans and programmes are being realised.

There is a need to boost the City's Tax, and Operating and Miscellaneous Revenue collections. In addition, studies should be made on how to widen the City's tax base.

There is a need to craft a more responsive Zoning Ordinance in the light of possible the rapid development trends in the City.
